The SIT (Servant in Training) Program at Mulhurst Lutheran Church Camp gives youth the opportunity to serve God while also enjoying His creation at camp. Each SIT will work with a counselor to help their cabin group have the best camp experience possible. As well, SITs assist with leading all kinds of activities, giving them a taste of what serving at camp is all about.
Being a SIT is similar to an aide; helping leaders perform their duties, and making the camping experience the best it can possibly be for the campers. While SITs are responsible to at least one leader, they are an integral part of the daily camp routine and the delivery of the summer program.
This is a leadership training position, with varied roles and daily tasks. Every SIT is respected for the energy, enthusiasm, ideas and unique personal gifts that they bring to outdoor ministry at Mulhurst.
